Are you interested in exploring more of fascinating Tuscany? Sogna is ideally situated to set off in any direction: You may begin with a walk along the hilltop to the neighbouring borgo Rapale. Then discover the nearby medieval places (villages) like Ambra, Badia a Ruoti, Cennina, Montebenichi, Bucine. Tuscany is known for its famous vines - visit the Chianti area with Greve Castellina, Radda, Gaiole.
Within easy reach are cities worldwide known for their history, renaissance architecture and museums full of famous paintings. They are worth your visit. Florence = 1 hour, Siena or Arezzo = 30 minutes. While you tour the country you will be caught by the unique landscape typical for Tuscany. Don't miss the "Crete" the area south of Siena! There you will find the typical Tuscan lovely landscape you probably saw in the past on calenders or postcards from Italy. You should also take the so called "white roads" (the gravelroads) and you will take home unforgetable impressions.

Towns, Villages and Hot Springs
Visit the antique towns like Florence where the Renaissance had its origins with enormous palaces (Palazzo Pitti) and museums (Uffizii), the Dome of Florence, the Ponte Vecchio and many famous churches and monasteries.
Siena where you must see "Il Campo" which is sayd to be the most beautiful place in the world. Arezzo and the famous flee market every first weekend of the month, but even the smaller villages are exciting. For example Pienza, which Pope Piccolomini created as his "ideal town", the famous vine centers Montalcino, Montepulciano are a must. Don't mix them up with the famous Chianti villages like Gaiole, Radda, Greve, Castellina. Even if you are not enthusiastic of red or withe vine: believe me, after your stay in Tuscany you will love it. Last but not least don't miss the old Roman hot springs: Bagno Vignoni, Rapolano Therme or Saturnia.




People

Try to visit one of the famous little town festivals full of tradition. The best known of all surely are the "Palio" of Siena (every year at the beginnig of June and midst of August) and the "Giostra del Saracino" of Arezzo (first Sunday in September).


Shopping

Shopping is one of your hobbies? There are a number of factory outlets not far away: it is a 25-minute car-drive to Montevarchi where you find the nearest outlet to Sogna. Labels like Prada, Jill Sander, Miu Miu, and Helmut Lang.
If this seems not enough, try to visit "The MALL" one of the biggest high-level outlet stores south of Florence, where you find the labels: Bottega Veneta, Emanuel Ungaro, Ermenegildo Zenga, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Loro Piana, Hogan, La Perla, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod’s, Sergio Rossi, Valentino, and Yves St. Laurent a.s.o. Nearby there are two other Outlets: Fendi, Celine, Loewe and Dolce & Gabbana.
